All artwork shown here was generated with the custom computer graphics software system Dr. Paradise started developing in 2001. Originally called The Metaverse, from the Latin meta universum, because it combines several computer graphics universes into a unified space. Later he discovered that name was used in the cyberpunk classic Snow Crash so he renamed it The Paradise Metaverse.  Around 2015 he changed the company name from Paradise2012 to VoxLux and renamed the system again to The VoxLux Metaverse.

Some examples are featured below, others are on this YouTube Playlists Page

This demo is from one of Dr. Paradise’s favorite live performances, with the legendary Shpongle at the historic Warfield Theater in San Francisco, circa 2011. (at that time the company was still called PARADISE2012)

Here’s a quick one-pass studio demo from 2011, there are a million things wrong with it but if you watch carefully, you can start to see how the controls affect the visuals interactively. The knob controls the tempo of the whole visual system, and when pressed advances to the next scene. The sliders control blending of the 16 channels of live computer graphics.

This promo video is from 2006 so it’s wildly outdated but has some good background info. Since then he also changed his name from Todd to Xavier.  Keeping it fresh!

When The VoxLux Metaverse produces something really special it can be saved as screenshot. Since 2000 around 1200 have been collected, here is a tiny sample…  These are then used to make custom print items like coffee mugs, clothing, rugs, mouse pads, phone cases…
